A BIT ABOUT ME
I proudly served my country for almost 22 years, having flown combat aircraft in both the US Navy and the Air Force. I retired from the Air Force after four tours of duty in Iraq.

After retiring from the Air Force I held several jobs while searching for my true civilian calling. Having always loved working with my hands and making things for other people, I discovered that my longtime love of knives and blades would become my true passion of bladesmithing.

In addition to making custom knives and leather sheaths, I live on a farm in the mountains of North East Tennessee, where I raise beef cattle and honeybees.

My Makers Mark incorporates my name with the cattle brand that my family has used for generations.

MY SERVICES
Custom forged blades and leather sheaths.
I create "standard" knives as well as truly custom pieces. I will work with you to produce a blade that you will pass on to your grandkids.

I primarily use 1084 steel for my utility knives, and 15N20 for my kitchen knives. Damascus blades will use both 1084 and 15N20. Of course, any unique piece may require a different steel, depending on the purpose.

I use vegetable tanned leather to create my hand-stitched sheaths, with various styles available. I can also make a custom sheath for a knife supplied by the customer.

Though my focus is on knives and blades, I can also produce some minor blacksmithing projects such as fireplace sets, forged window grates, etc.
